Each place has its own peculiarities and can be reached by different means of transport – on foot, by boat, bus, or train, or by private car. If you have limited time and budget, the best choice is to explore the areas that are easy to reach from the city centre by public transport, such as Boccadasse, Nervi and Sant’Ilario and Pegli. Alternatively, the many lifts and funicular railways make it easy to reach the panoramic areas like Righi. Genoa is not just caruggi!
